Warning for strange phone calls

October 12th, 2008 by Andreas from Xavier Media

There’s a new kind of scam going on here in Sweden, but I think it’s worth mentioning to all of you since this may happen anywhere in the world. If you get a phonecall with only one tune so you don’t have enough time to answer, then it might be this scam. Don’t call back when you see any phone numbers in your called-id after this and especially if you see it’s from the country codes +88 or +252 from Somalia.

If you call back on these kind of phone calls you’ll be charged anywhere from $10-$25 for just calling back :(

So before you actually call back on any phone numbers you don’t recognize you should look them up online first to make sure it’s someone real and not this kind of scam.
